Over the last two years, we have set up our project "TOPOMOMO - Experiments of Modernism". Some of you have already had the new TOPOMOMO book in your hands or have accompanied us during the project.

From 12-13 May 2023, this year's TOPOMOMO confestival will take place in Ústí nad Labem in the Veřejný sál Hraničář - a cinema building built in 1923 and (today again) an important socio-cultural meeting place of the city. There are still a few places available. We are therefore opening up the event for the spontanous and look forward to welcoming new network partners!

TOPOMOMO - never heard of it?

TOPOMOMO stands for "Topography of the modern movement". Our vision is a cross-border Saxon-Czech network to preserve and revive the buildings of the 1920s and 30s in our region. In the last two years, we were able to lay the foundations for the network with the "Experiments of Modernism". Now we are looking into the future: How does good networking work? What added value does the network bring to its members? What does the network already bring to the table in terms of its own experience and resources? Where does the network still need support from outside and from whom? We are looking for answers to these questions together with everyone who cares about the preservation and revitalisation of our architectural heritage. In addition to the owners and operators of buildings, experts and service providers with a connection to the topic and an interest in new contacts should also get involved.

The Confestival offers a relaxed mixture of conference and workshop with as much off-time as possible to get to know each other and exchange ideas. We have invited two exciting best practice examples on the topic of networking. After short input lectures, several workshop sessions will focus on direct exchange among each other. The event will be bilingual (DE/CS) throughout. We will cover the costs for accommodation and meals.
